The first day of school varies in different areas around the world because of the differences in weather, climate, season, and culture. However, the normal pattern is for school to begin in late August or early
September in the northern hemisphere and in late January or early
February in most Southern Hemisphere countries.
In the United States, for many school districts in various states schools opens on the day after Labor Day (first Monday in September). On that day, public transportation services increase and start the rush hour earlier.
