Paqueta Island: A beautiful place to visit on your vacation!
Paquetá Island is an amazing place to visit and rest. It’s special for several reasons.
First, it’s near Rio de Janeiro city, so when you come back from the island you can go shopping or go to different places downtown. It's important to know that the only way to get there is by ferryboat. It’s not expensive, but it’s very slow. However, you can enjoy the view and relax!
Second, it isn’t very large. You can walk along the island with no stress or preoccupation. The place is pretty safe, you will have no problems! It’s a very interesting place to start a conversation and take pictures.
Third, it has beautiful construction styles of colonial architecture. It has the same appearance of some places in Europe as houses, churches and others! Even the vegetation is from the same colonial period. It’s still well cared. Also, it’s a good idea to visit “Maria Gorda”, a very large and old tree. "Pedra da moreninha” is also an important touristic point. Paqueta Island became more famous after the soap opera " A moreninha” which took place there.
Finally, Paqueta Island has beautiful places surrounded by good beaches, amazing restaurants serving local foods. There are many interesting ways to explore it: by bike, car or walking. Prices are reasonable, so everyone can visit Paqueta!
